Hag Stone I

A closed sculptural form with a negative space inspired by the 'hag stones' found on the beach in Brighton. She is built in a cream sculptural body and textured with beaming stars and finished in terra sigillata with a subtle crackle and areas of slips and clear glaze.

In British and Celtic folklore hag stones are rocks with naturally occurring holes carved out by water and believed to protect against evil and the fae and have healing properties.
